Find Scale Degrees: Intervals, Pure
The short answer: Find Scale Degrees strips intervals down to pure theory — given a root note and a scale degree, name the note that many degrees above it. No fretboard, no keyboard, just the relationship. Points scale with speed. It is the mental math every instrument version rests on.
What the game is
You get a root and a degree and name the resulting note. With no instrument in the way, there is nowhere to hide — you either know the interval or you do not, and the game builds that knowing quickly.
What it teaches
- Scale degrees as note-to-note relationships, instrument-free.
- The interval spelling behind chords and scales.
- Transposition — the same degree in any key.
Why it's cool
Taking the instrument away isolates the pure relationship, and that is the engine sitting under every fretboard and keyboard degree game. Get this fast and everything downstream gets faster.
